MASAARR will be a short price in the second division of this maiden but is impossible to oppose. Though easy to back, Roger Varian’s Distorted Humour colt was a very promising third on debut at Newmarket. He’s related to a host of winners and the step up to a mile is in his favour. Poetic Imagination also has an excellent pedigree but she was a little disappointing on her introduction at HQ and may need more time. The market will be the best guide to the chances of Winged Spur and Cross My Mind and Fire Orchid looks a nice type for handicaps this winter.
