In depth

Verdict

POOLE MASTER won a bumper at Uttoxeter in 2010 and suffered a knee injury after a promising debut over hurdles at Newbury. He reappeared with a convincing success back at Uttoxeter despite showing signs of inexperience and can defy his penalty. Royal Commission has also been in action in bumpers at Uttoxeter and did well to get within a couple of lengths of Rugged Jack last month. He should make a hurdler and rates a threat while Morar, a decent stayer on the Flat who won on soft ground here in August, ran well for a long way on her debut over timber over the C&D a fortnight ago. Petit Ecuyer ran a shocker in very heavy ground on that same card but had shown decent form previously and the run should be ignored.
