In depth

Verdict

Wolverhampton brings out the best in Mr Red Clubs, who carries a penalty for last week's victory at Dunstall Park when Run It Twice finished back in third. Wishformore failed to cope with 6lb extra last time having landed a double at Kempton before that while maiden winner Ostralegus was well beaten in a handicap at Southwell last time, though he may not have handled the surface. The betting suggested LIBERTY JACK was expected to take advantage of a slide down the weights at Kempton a week ago but he found one too good. Jim Boyle's charge makes most appeal in this racing off the same mark and is taken to make amends.
