Welsh Wind is versatile as regards to trip and can follow up a recent victory over a mile here, Barton Sands and Bishops Finger appear to be the main dangers. Michael Wigham's seven-year-old was contesting a seller for the first time when showing tremendous courage to out point Rowan Pursuit. This event if anything is less competitive so we expect another bold showing. Bishop's Finger finished fourth to today's rival Barton Sands over course and distance earlier this month going down by just over two lengths. He enjoys a five pound turnaround in the weights this afternoon and so it should very close between them, but both should be vying for some place money. Meanwhile Smith N Alan Oils is in good heart at the moment and is certainly in with a chance on official ratings, although the trip would be a bit of a worry. Best of the others may be Bulawayo, but in quite an open event Welsh wind gets a narrow vote.
