In the opener, the vote goes to Godfrey Street ahead of Turn Me On and Sands Crooner. It has been 59 days since he ran but, maybe connections have been waiting for better going for the selection, and he will get that today. Also, he showed promise on that Kempton debut although there are mixed messages from the form. Turn Me On cost 38,000 guineas and hails from the Michael Bell stable, so has to be of interest on his debut, while Sands Crooner wasn't beaten far by Green Park last time, which is sound form, and he clearly appreciated the better going on that occasion and can go well here. Campbelltown showed promise on his Beverley debut and could well improve on that today, while Welcome Releaf ran green on his debut but eventually got the hang of things and he too can improve. In Hope has competed in some fair races so far but, even so, probably has a bit to find. Wilson Star cost 20,000 euros so gauge his chance from the betting, but that can be said for most of the unraced runners. On this occasion, we prefer to stick with experience which is why we have selected Godfrey Street.
