In depth

Formwatch

Border Arrow Former top class performer (3rd in 1998 Derby) but has had his problems since; still a potent threat at this level if handling artificial surface on all-weather debut.

Compton Bolter (IRE) Top handicapper (won Goodwood event off 110) who handles dirt (3rd in Winter Derby in March); respected.

Brilliant Red Useful turf/all-weather performer (landed one-mile Goodwood handicap in May) but more required here.

Catoki (USA) Prolific winner (including on dirt) in Germany who is dificult to assess; yet to win over this trip; best watched on British debut.

King Priam (IRE) Fair handicapper (3rd in the Lincoln Handicap in March) who handles dirt but overall form suggests he'll struggle at this level.

Mana-Mou Bay (IRE) Highly regarded when with Richard Hannon but has never fulfilled potential and faces no easy task on all-weather debut.

Tarboush Ex-Henry Cecil but has failed to progress and recent all-weather debut leaves him with plenty to find.

Reef Diver Useful Newmarket maiden winner who is open to improvement but has no all-weather experience; others preferred.

Whaleef Lightly raced progressive type who followed up Goodwood maiden win with all-weather conditions success earlier this month; open to further improvement and should prove hard to beat.

Ash Moon (IRE) Stable in good form on the all-weather of late but this filly looks set to struggle in this company.

Madeline Bassett (IRE) Made winning all-weather debut over C&D earlier this month (off 77); needs to improve significantly to take a hand.

Silver Bracelet Well regarded earlier in the year but has become disappointing.

Dramatic Quest Classy ex-Mark Johnston performer who landed Newbury conditions event in May; lightly raced since and makes all-weather debut; noy without claims if taking to this surface.
