STATION PLACE stepped up on his three previous efforts in maiden company to land what was admittedly a weak contest but given the exposed nature of many of his rivals here, he could well improve again and land this. Charming Escort has won by the shortest of margins on his last two starts. Both were similar contests to today's contest except they were at Kempton. Seven furlongs is as short a trip as he wants and he does require some cajoling while Norcroft steps up to seven furlongs and has been given a fair chance by the assessor. Alucica and Tilsworth Charlie are others to consider but Station Place is given the nod.
