In depth

Verdict

This is a tricky race for punters to call and the leading lights look to be Pure Illusion, Emily Bronte and Antique and we will side with Emily Bronte. The selection has got some really solid form in France and although she has not been seen on the racecourse since October last year , she did win on her debut so is clearly capable of going well fresh. Pure Illusion ran fifth in a Group 2 race at Doncaster last autumn and she won well on her reappearance this year. Frankie Dettori has opted to ride her ahead of our selection but we are put off by her high head carriage and at the forecast odds we will oppose her and take a chance on her stablemate. Antique has got some fair form in France but she has been off the track since August last year and she lacks the scope of our selection. Kahlua Kiss could prove best of the remainder but for the winner we will stick with Emily Bronte.
