Verdict

An awful contest where ROCK ART is a tentative pick to get the better of Bustan and Gasat. Brian Meehan applies blinkers to the Rock Of Gibraltar filly for the first time and drops her into this grade from a Folkestone handicap where she went well enough in context. She has to prove she will handle this surface, but the trip should be ideal and she doesn't have too much to find on official ratings, so we will chance her. Bustan has won over 10f a long time in the past, but races as if his optimum is a mile. He too tries this company for the first time and will find it a fair bit easier than the handicaps he has been contesting, so if he gets home then he can be heavily involved. Gasat went very close on his one previous try in a seller. He has won here in the past so there are no problems on that score and he looks a leading player at these weights. Iffy has not run on the level for years now, but he has shown ability over jumps and is fit from that game, so if things don't happen too quickly for him he can have a say. Inside Trade looks best of the remainder, but Rock Art can paint a winning picture.
