      Verdict

This sprint series is producing some inevitably tight-knit contests and this looks no exception with an 8lb range covering the entire field. Ron Harris gave Diamond Vine a decent break before returning his charge to the fray in early January, resulting in two much-improved efforts. He only went down narrowly to The Strig here last time and a repeat performance would see him go close from a decent draw. Kieren Fallon has teamed up successfully with Heather Main in the past and the combination is represented here by Beautiful Lando. The pair landed a seven furlong Wolverhampton handicap last season and should go well again, although this is the gelding's first attempt at sprint trips. Expect solid efforts from usual suspects such as Loyal Royal and Even Bolder with Nubar Boy also very much respected from the head of the weights.
