Jake The Snake was unfancied on last week's return to action over C&D and ran accordingly. He's a street clear on official ratings in this but ran nowhere his mark last time and has yet to win over today's distance. He looks worth taking on with WATERLOO DOCK as today's apprentice has won on him before and Mick Quinn's charge had Catalyze behind when scoring over C&D last month. Atlantic Beach finished ahead of Riflessione when fourth over 5f here earlier this month, but it could be a different story over today's extra furlong, as the latter had gone close over track and trip previously.
Atlantic Beach 9-1 (9-5) Slowly into stride, soon in mid-division, headway well over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong, held when short of room close home, 8th of 11, 2 1/2l behind Rylee Mooch (9-1) at Wolverhampton 5f hacp 0-70 (5) pol.
Riflessione 14-1 (8-8) Pressed leader, led narrowly 2f out, hung right and headed over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong, 6th of 9, 7l behind Waabel (8-12) at Wolverhampton 6f hacp 0-70 (5) pol.
Waterloo Dock 10-1 (8-12) Set steady pace, ridden 2f out, headed approaching final furlong, kept on same pace, 3rd of 4, 2 3/4l behind Drawnfromthepast (9-1) at Lingfield 6f clm stks (6) pol.
Catalyze 7-1 (8-12) Fly leapt start and slow into stride, in rear, ridden 2f out, kept on final furlong, nearest finish, 6th of 9, 4 1/2l behind Greenhead High (8-6) at Wolverhampton 5f hcp 0-75 (5) pol in Feb.
Jake The Snake (IRE) 8-1 (9-0) Held up in rear, under pressure over 2f out, soon beaten, last of 5, 6l behind Captain Dimitrios (8-8) at Lingfield 6f clm stks (6) pol.
