Verdict

Victory Sign and Gin 'N' Fonic come out well clear of the others on official ratings and look to be the ones to focus on in a race in which very few can be given a chance, with Gin 'N' Fonic getting our vote. New Prospective and Sharp Spice are our idea of the best of the rest. New Prospective, who is racing in first-time blinkers, ran pretty well here on the Polytrack in July, runs that certainly give him place claims if repeated on Turf. Sharp Spice, is capable on her day but doesn't consent to show it too often these days. This brings us back to the leading contenders. Jamie Spencer again teams up with Gin 'N' Fonic following their virtually-all-the-way win at Wolverhampton last time. A repeat on Turf gives him a leading chance and the lightly-raced Zafonic gelding should have improvement in him. Victory Sign comfortably won a Beverley seller last time and that brings him into the shake-up. However, our vote is cast in favour of Gin 'N' Fonic.
