In depth

Verdict

A typically competitive sprint handicap where ELUSIVE RONNIE earns the vote ahead of Spinning Bailiwick and Head To Head. The selection may not be one for the faint hearted and his young pilot won't have an easy task to plot his way through the field from his low draw. Everything panned out ideally for Elusive Ronnie on his penultimate start but the gaps didn't come in time on his latest outing as he just missed out. He should go well again as should Spinning Bailiwick who made every yard when winning readily at Kempton. She's already run well here over the minimum and will be suited by the step up in trip. Head To Head was beaten a nose by the selection at Kempton and is significantly better off on these terms whilst the booking of Holland is another positive. However, he's yet to show his best form at this track and ready preference is for Elusive Ronnie.
