In depth

Verdict

Polish Power responded well to hard driving when a narrow winner of a course and distance handicap last time and the consistent seven-year-old has to be respected but a 5lb rise for that success leaves him with more to do and preference is for Chocolate Caramel, with Del Mar Sunset rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has been running consistently well of late including when a close fourth here last time and he has solid claims racing off the same mark today. Nobelix is strictly held by Chocolate Caramel on running last time, while Dundry may appreciate the drop back to this distance but seems a shade high in the weights at present. David Elsworth's Know The Law is less exposed than most of these but remains a maiden and of more interest may be Del Mar Sunset who has slipped back to a winning mark despite some creditable efforts in defeat of late. Chocolate Caramel has solid claims though and he is preferred.
