Verdict

Orvietan will not be the first son of Sadler's Wells to fail to reproduce his best on the Fibresand at Southwell and may be worth another chance back on the Polytrack with Katchit and Jebel Ali rated the best of the remainder. The selection had looked one to keep on the right side of when scoring here last month and his latest effort at Southwell is probably best ignored. Deutschland runs in the same ownership as the selection and is similarly unexposed but is not certain to stay this far, while Zabeel Tower failed to win in eight starts last term and is another unproven over the trip although his yard has started the season in good form. Stablemate Katchit has had the benefit of race fitness and has to be considered along with Jebel Ali, who is probably better than he showed last time. Orvietan remains unexposed though and he gets the vote to resume winning ways back on this surface.
