Verdict

WORLD RECORD was beaten four lengths on his return to action at Kempton. But that form looks better now as the winner, Queensberry Rules, went in again at Sandown on Saturday and is heading for the St James's Palace Stakes. The Hannon colt gets the vote ahead of newcomer Mawj Tamy, a half-brother to winners in America. Banreenahreenkah went close at Brighton in September and Spanish Art's best effort came at the same track last year. Bee Jay Kay and Welsh Moonlight were both well beaten on their debuts and are best watched for now.
