      Verdict

      CITY GIRL has been overturned twice at very cramped odds but we are prepared to give Ralph Beckett's filly another chance. The form of her debut at Salisbury was given a boost by Jollification's run in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot and with her trainer going to the trouble of making an entry in the Lowther Stakes, she is worth persevering with. Nardin has had two races at Kempton and was still a little green when finishing second earlier this month. Connections get a chance to see how she copes with travelling the other way around while Spicy demonstrated improved form when splitting a pair of Godolphin fillies over course-and-distance. Iris Blue has yet to trouble the judge and John Gosden's filly may make more appeal when tried over further.
