In depth

Verdict

Aqmaar created a favourable impression when making a winning debut at Newbury last month and, with John Dunlop's juveniles normally improving with racing, he is taken to follow up at the main expense of Safe Investment and Forefathers. The last mentioned is a well bred newcomer by Gone West, from the yard of Michael Bell that has had a two-year-old newcomer this term so he has to be respected. Bright Moon came good when landing a Salisbury nursery last time but this looks tougher, while My Learned Friend would need to improve on the form of his two efforts so far to trouble the judge. Safe Investment looks progressive and has to be respected but Aqmaar looks one to keep on the right side of and he is preferred.
