Verdict

ANNACARTON and Katie Walsh look the answer to this. Seven times a winner between the flags, he was an odds-on chance when landing a hunter chase at Tramore in April and also when falling while in the lead in a similar race at Cork the same month. Emergency Cover, who eventually won that race, has since run poorly at Killarney and doesn't look good enough. Jamsie Hall is definitely progressing and could prove a big threat as he followed a victory between the flags at Taylorstown with a very comfortable success in a maiden hunter chase at Downpatrick. The Baler is another very much on the upgrade as he proved when landing a Punchestown hunters' event a month ago and that was only his fifth career start so there's plenty more to come from the five-year-old.
