Verdict

A classy line-up for the money with more than half the field winning last time out. David Pipe sends Battle Group from the UK with an obvious chance after his exploits on summer ground but he has a penalty to carry and the going may be just too sticky for him. OUR GAR is improving at a rate of knots and hopefully will be fit enough after a break since April when he beat a huge field at Punchestown in good style. He faces a stiffer task here though Barry Geraghty is on board again and the partnership can prevail. Geraghty rode Casey Top when Leonard Whitmore's gelding was just outstayed by Queiros Bleu over 2m6f at Killarney last month. The shorter trip should play to the strengths of the runner-up this time but Bryan Cooper's claim on the winner is a bonus. Carrigmartin holds One Cool Tornado on their run at Sligo last month and is progressing well enough to get competitive.
