Verdict

Jim Bolger won this a year ago and though Maggie Dalton has a big weight she's been running well and is closely matched with Cheval Rouge on the latter's victory at Sligo. Maude Adams likes some cut in the ground and has done very well. Her recent easy victory at Ballinrobe, when Granny On Fire was well beaten, was the fourth of her career and she must be on the short-list. Ravello Again has been raised a massive 10lb for beating two opponents at Killarney though she looked very impressive and is progressing at a rate of knots. LAKE LOUISE could do with some more rain as her two victories have come on heavy ground. She again had those conditions when just failing to concede 13lb to Kiss Goodnight at Killarney and is given the nod. Surreal gained the first success of her career on fast going at Gowran and would be a threat if handling these conditions.
