Verdict

It's a surprise that ARCHIE MEADE has yet to lose his maiden tag over fences as he's run some very good races, particularly when runner-up in a Grade B handicap at the Punchestown Festival. He's run on ground faster than he would have liked on his two latest starts and this should be his day. Winning point-to-pointer Marvellous Moment showed a bit of promise over hurdles but was always more likely to do better when getting a test of stamina over regulation fences so this should suit. Rightville Boy is another to have scored between the flags and also won twice over timber, though his jumping has left something to be desired over fences so far. The remainder will need to show progress to get involved.
