WHITE STAR LINE has yet to score over fences which seems incredible given that he's raced against top novices and was beaten narrowly by Felix Yonger at Punchestown in May. Runner-up in this a year ago, he can go one better at the chief expense of Owega Star, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles in December and though a beaten favourite in all three starts over fences has been making steady progress. Clonbanan Lad makes his debut over the bigger obstacles and Henry De Bromhead's winning point-to-pointer, bumper and hurdler is very much respected. Archie Meade has yet to get his act together over fences but is better than he's shown to date and is one to note for the future.
