Verdict

A small field goes to post for this novices chase and it looks a match between Xellance and Celtic Star with Four On The Trot another to note in the market but the vote goes to Celtic Star. The selection has a little to find on hurdle form with Xellance but he looks the more natural chaser and although he was disappointing behind Tudor King last time the drop back to this trip will suit and he should go well. Xellance was the best of these over hurdles but he failed to impress with his fencing when third behind Isard last time and at likely prices he looks worth opposing. Four On The Trot is the only other in the field that can be given a serious chance of winning but his form over fences leaves him with a little to find. Twice As Good and Magical Liaison have shown virtually nothing and can not be seriously put forward and for the winner we return to Celtic Star.
