In depth

Verdict

Dante Citizen can follow up a recent course and distance victory, with Long Walk and McCracken the main dangers. Irish point-to-point winner Dante Citizen has been brought along steadily, and this full brother to Pharaway started to fulfill his promise when stepped up to three miles here two weeks ago, jumping well in the main to score. He has no more to do now and is strongly fancied to pop in again. Long Walk was also successful over track and trip in February, but was tailed off in third behind The Kew Tour at Doncaster last time and might just be too high in the weights at present. Nevertheless it would not surprise us if he were to bounce back with a good run. McCracken did not beat much at Newcastle the time before last and may have been feeling the effects of a busy period when beaten at Newcastle. Moreluck, pulled up last time is best of the rest but does not appeal too greatly, and the progressive Dante Citizen should really take all the beating.
