In depth

Verdict

Some powerful stables have runners in this maiden but Harry Fry’s RIDGEWAY FLYER, who won his bumper here last season, has the form in the book and looks the one to beat. His run behind Movewiththetimes at Wincanton has worked out well and he was second subsequently at Exeter. Irish import Bobo Mac is having his first run for new connections and Alfie's Choice may be a better long-term prospect as he’s a full brother to two winners and took a big step forward here earlier in the month. Jockey bookings would suggest Calling Des Blins is the pick of Dan Skelton’s pair while there are also possibilities about Johanos and Lexington Law, who was placed three times on the Flat last year.
