In depth

Verdict

Diamond Joel is surely better than he showed when joint favourite at Uttoxeter last week. Zabeel Star won on the level but was beaten 29 lengths when second at Plumpton last month. HARLEY REBEL did better at Wetherby last week and that experience, in what was probably a decent contest, should stand him in good stead here. He can get the better of hurdling newcomers Red Hammer and Light Breaks, though the former showed ability on the Flat in France while the latter won over 1m4f at Bath in June so should stay the trip.
