    Verdict

CURZON LINE was given a quiet introduction to hurdling at Uttoxeter but stayed on nicely in the closing stages. He has the beating of Straits Of Messina and this sharper track should suit so he's fancied to open his account today as he was a decent sort on the Flat as a three-year-old. Devil's Dyke was placed in a couple of bumpers last season but a bigger danger may be Lone Ranger. He was a Listed winner in his native France last year and third at Wincanton in March, though his future may still lie over longer trips despite being pulled up at Warwick last time. Tempuran looks to have some ability and Cane Cat should stay 2m and remains unexposed over hurdles.
