In depth

Verdict

An absolutely terrible race where Fait Le Jojo is a very tentative choice ahead of Football Crazy, Grave Doubts and Soviet Sceptre. The selection was once a decent hurdler and is still rated as highlgy as 125, which gives him a great chance at these weights. However, his drop into selling company at Hexham last time was hardly inspiring, but if he performas as he did the time before at Fontwell over this more suitable trip then he may still be good enough. Football Crazy has been even better at his best, but he's had problems in recent times and after an absence over well over a year the jury has to be out until we see him prove himself on the track once more. Grave Doubts has struggled since landing an Exeter handicap a year ago. This is his first try in this lowly grade and that may help but again he is badly out of sorts and cannot be trusted. Conversely, Soviet Sceptre is running well enough in this sphere and although strictly on the book he has plenty to find, with many of the higher rated runners struggling for form he can get closely involved. However, the very tentative nod here goes to Fait Le Jojo.
