Verdict

In this three-runner affair, we will side with Wild Power. Set soon to rise by seven pounds in the ratings, connections are bidding to strike while the iron is hot with Wild Power. The six-year-old won well on that occasion but it probably wouldn't pay to get too carried away by the bare form. That said, this could well prove to be a tactical affair and, given that he was allowed a certain amount of control at Fakenham, might yet get that again and looks the one to beat. Jodante seems to be rated pretty fairly while Stormy Lord, a decent hurdler a couple of years ago, fell at Ayr on his return from a lengthy absence last time. So, given that Wild Power has less question marks against him than his two rivals, he gets the vote.
