In depth

Verdict

Tony McCoy rarely leaves anywhere without a winner and Zarakash looks to be his best chance of the day. Antigiotto and Smart Boy Prince have each-way claims, while Mamore Gap has experience of the course and can figure strongly with a clear round. Smart Boy Prince put in one of his better efforts at Cartmel last month and has claims if dishing out a repeat dose this afternoon. However, he can be unpredictable and is not one to rely upon to heavily. Antigiotto showed fair ability on the Flat before joining his current yard at the start of this year. He does have claims on the best of his form but has to banish the memory of a poor run from last time out. There are no such worries with Zarakash, who ran a fair race to finish third on his reappearance over course and distance nine days ago. That effort is expected to have put him spot on for this and the McCoy magic is again expected to work the oracle with the JP McManus-owned gelding today.
