In depth

Verdict

David Pipe is not averse to utilising the massive weight-for-age allowance that four-year-olds have in novice chases at this time of the year and IMPULSIVE AMERICAN will no doubt be fully primed as he's won on the Flat since completing a double over hurdles at Perth in April. Party Rock beat a decent field on his debut over fences over track and trip and should carry his penalty with distinction. Gran Maestro won a Listed hurdle here last year and could go close but Monsieur Gibraltar has become expensive to follow.
