Verdict

A poor but competitive contest gets proceedings under way and the main protagonists appear to be Scippit, Divulge and Princess Claudia and we will take a chance on Scippit. The gelding from the Norman Waggot yard ran well after an absence when third behind Sovereign State last time. He is sure to strip fitter today and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Divulge would have a chance on his best form but he is an in and out performer. However if the Visor he is wearing for the first time sharpens him up he will be a danger to all. Princess Claudia finished in mid division in a much better race last time out behind Aifung. However she still remains a maiden after 21 runs so for that reason she is opposed on this occasion. Of the remainder Hidden Smile was a good second behind Just Midas under similar conditions last time but we are happy to side with Scippit.
