Verdict

The newcomers look nothing special on paper, so we will side with Gay Oscar, who can beat Dayenoo and Moustique de L'Isle. Gay Oscar was quite impressive when taking a similar race at Southwell back in May. He just had to be shaken up the final three furlongs and went on to record a six length victory over Rouge Et Noir. There was a lot to like about Moustique de L'Isle's debut effort at Carlisle. He came from some way off the pace to chase home the smart Gold Again. With that experience under his belt a good run is expected. Dayenoo made his debut at Carlisle back in March when finishing a promising second behind Neidpath Castle. The ground was heavy on that occasion, so any rain should help his cause. Watch the market for any big moves on the newcomers, but at this stage it is hard to get away from Gay Oscar, who is a fairly confident choice.
