In depth

Verdict

Desert Queen was quite highly tried after winning over hurdles at Ascot just under a year ago. She has won twice between the flags so the switch to fences may suit. La Vaticane has experience on her side, however, having already won three times over the larger obstacles, including at Wincanton in March. Run Ructions Run switches from Tim Easterby to Richard Newland but is hard to catch right and Kalane has already had her limitations exposed and steps up in trip. CRESSWELL BREEZE was best over 3m over hurdles and gets that distance for the first time over fences. She ran a cracker at Punchestown in April and any improvement on that would see her bang in the firing-line.
