In depth

Verdict

BORDONI clearly has his quirks but was in front and travelling like a winner when running out at the second-last at Ludlow last time having finished second on his hurdling debut at Warwick. Compensation awaits here if Denis O'Regan can keep him on the straight and narrow. Double Cee is interesting as he was started off in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham 10 days ago. Though tailed off, he'll have learned from the experience. Somemothersdohavem was a winning stayer on the Flat and is worth a second look but Our Phylli Vera dropped away quickly on her debut over timber at Doncaster. King Arthur was second at Lingfield last time but still beaten 20 lengths and more is needed here.
