Verdict

Dans Le Vent did very well in bumpers and came here after a couple of decent runs over hurdles to win comfortably. He was taking on too much in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury and a couple of mistakes didn't help but this is more his level. Herewego Herewego has been gradually improving and was having only his third start when winning with a bit in hand at Warwick and his pedigree suggests he'll be even better over this longer trip. He's greatly respected though KNIGHT IN DUBAI (NAP) made a successful hurdling debut at Wetherby and was in the lead at the last in a Grade 2 at Warwick won by Mr Whipped, form that looks good enough for this. The winner's yard is represented by Burrows Edge, who showed up well between the flags and in a bumper at Newbury before finding 2m on the short side on his debut over timber at Kempton in November. What's Occurring is another who has been finding the minimum trip too short.
