The Summer Plate is always a highly competitive affair and this year's renewal is no different with Nostringsattached, Iron Man and KING TROY all in with a strong chance, with our vote going to the last named. King Troy is now nine pounds higher in the weights since winning at Bangor last time out. That will not make life easy for him but he looked like he had plenty left in the tank that day and there was more to come from him. He is still only lightly raced and is open to further improvement so if he can justify his hike in the ratings he will not be far away come the business end of the race. Iron Man always comes good around this time of the year and has plummeted down the weights in the past 12 months or so. He won this race two years ago and does run well at this track. Peter Bowen is in good form right now and it would be no surprise to see Iron Man in the frame once again in a big handicap. Nostringsattached is the mount of Tony McCoy and they were seen to good effect at the opening meeting of Ffos Las last month. He is not the easiest of rides however and therefore is not the easiest horse to win with so he has to be treated with same caution. King Troy looks the most straightforward in the race and if improving he will take all the beating.
