OUR GIANT won the recognised trial for this three weeks ago when a blanket would have covered the first half-dozen. Mike De Kock's charge, a Grade 1 winner at Clairwood, didn't have the best of draws that day but it was still better than that of Inxile, who ran a brilliant race from stall 12. Unfortunately for Dandy Nicholls, the six-year-old has drawn the same box again and it's very hard to win from this far out. Dohasa ran quite well from his poor draw that day and has since done exceptionally well to chase up Happy Dubai so the form looks solid. Mutheeb, who started favourite, looked in need of the run and can do very much better. Our Giant's stablemate Frosty Secret won at the fixture last year though he hasn't been seen since March but Irish raider Banna Boirche was one of the most progressive sprinters of last year and his tally of six all-weather victories suggest this surface won't hold any terrors.
