In depth

Verdict

Ali Rashid Al Rayhi completed a double at Jebel Ali at the weekend with Connor Beasley getting his Dubai career off to a winning start. Trenches represents the trainer along with Prepared under Tadhg O'Shea, who also got off the mark at the weekend. The latter won a handicap here in February though took a few runs before reaching his peak, unlike MATHEMATICS, who made a winning reappearance at Sharjah last October then completed a double here in December. He should be wound up for this and gets the vote. Beasley is on board Strong Challenge, a Goodwood maiden winner for Godolphin but out of form earlier this year. Milton won a mile handicap here in January while Pirate's Cove is interesting having won for Andre Fabre in France. Whitman won four times as a juvenile for Mark Johnston but didn't train on as expected though generally competed in tough handicaps.
