In depth

Verdict

Farrier made a winning debut in what turned out to be a very poor maiden over 7f here in February and will find this much tougher. MAQARAAT, runner-up in last year's Dee Stakes at Chester and an easy Haydock maiden winner for Charles Hills, has joined Doug Watson who will want to exploit what looks a lenient handicap mark. He's handed the vote despite this being his all-weather debut though there are plenty of threats including his own stablemate Famous Warrior, who made much of the running on his reappearance over 1m2f here a fortnight ago and will strip fitter. Tesslam was in fine form at Jebel Ali earlier this year while Capital Attraction won twice on this track in just four starts after arriving from Henry Cecil's yard.
