In depth

Verdict

SKYRIDER did best of the trio who made their debuts in a similar contest a fortnight ago and though he never really looked like winning he did enough to suggest he'll come on markedly for the run and gets the nod. Desert Mountain had his first start on the track at the same fixture but never got involved. He'd shown promise on his debut at Newmarket in the summer and will have benefited from his first sight of Dirt. Pat Cosgrave has made a tremendous start to the UAE season and his mount, Goldenground, showed a bit of potential at Chelmsford. Satish Seemar won that first race of the season a couple of weeks ago with a newcomer and has two engaged here. Jabir is by a leading Dirt sire in the USA while Uncle Noble is by a dual Grade 1 Dirt winner so neither should have a problem with the surface.
