In depth

Verdict

GEORGE FERNBECK has shown enough in a couple of starts in bumpers to suggest he can land this. He was only beaten a couple of lengths at Wetherby last time and will appreciate today's longer trip. Mill Bay will have improved for his debut third over C&D and should be in the firing-line, while Optimist also looks capable of better and had I Got Sunshine behind at Carlisle back in October. Any strong support for the newcomers Abbey Garth and Walk Like A Man could prove significant.
