In depth

Verdict

Not much form to go on for this maiden but SAUCY GIRL's debut effort offers plenty of encouragement and we side with Tim Easterby's filly ahead of Dispol Keasha while Ventura Cove is the most interesting newcomer. The selection only found a really useful looking hotpot too good on debut and while it looks like the form will get stronger and stronger over time the third and fourth place runners have already boosted the lines next time up and she sets a fair level of form. Dispol Keasha also ran a pleasing debut when beaten only half a length at odds of 8/1. The form lines from the race are not as strong as the selection¿s and she may need to find more than the normal progression to score this time. Ventura Cove is certainly bred for sprinting, his family have gone well as juveniles and with his yard in good form he can go well on debut. Island Express has perhaps not shown the expected progression and the form from his last run has him well behind the selection who is Saucy Girl.
