In depth

Verdict

Western Point gets the confident vote in the finale with Hurricane Thomas and Sonara rating the main dangers. The selection has won his last two races since being stepped up in trip and won in game fashion last time out when beating Little Carmela. He looks sure to improve again for this even longer trip and the return to faster ground and he is hard to oppose. Hurricane Thomas rates the main danger on his latest second behind Sonara. He is weighted to gain his revenge on that rival here and he will not be far away. Sonara is sure to have his supporters but looks vulnerable under his penalty. Of the remainder Salto Chico is from a shrewd in-form yard and should be watched in the market but his overall profile leaves him with plenty to find and for the winner we return to Western Point.
