Verdict

This is a trappy maiden to open the card with the leading lights Persian Peril, Ingleby Flame and and Lady Best with the vote given to Persian Peril. The selection has been knocking on the door and has three times gone close to getting his head in front. He ran really well last time when a close second behind Naayla at Southwell and as the first two came well clear of the rest of the field that day he should be good enough here if he can reproduce that effort. Ingleby Flame showed some promise on his debut and then improved last time when finishing third behind Dollar Chick. He looks to be going the right way and will give our selection plenty to think about. Lady Best made a pleasing debut when finishing second behind Silent Waves at Beverley but she will need to improve to make her presence felt in this company. Rockfonic is an interesting newcomer and is worth a look in the market but for the winner we will return to Persian Peril.
