In depth

Verdict

Donald McCain and Jason Maguire could notch a quick double in the second division of this maiden hurdle as ABBEY STORM has already won a point-to-point and was second in a Wexford bumper on his debut under Rules. The danger may be Fibresand winner Somerset Island, though he hasn't finishing second at Cartmel in July. Nodda High Kid started favourite when fourth at Hexham in June but is another returning from a lay-off while Sharivarry may not come into his own until tackling fences.
