In depth

Verdict

Sleep In First was well backed over hurdles at Sedgefield on Boxing Day but found little off the bridle and was pulled up in his only previous attempt over fences. We much prefer SILVER STEEL, who is only a pound higher than when winning at Perth in August and wears blinkers here on his first run over 2m since. Mystified has finished last three times in succession but Morning Time may have a bit of scope, though he didn't show much over C&D last time. The Good Guy last ran over fences in 2009 and his record then was abysmal so how he'll fare here is anybody's guess.
