      Verdict

Though still a maiden, Irish raider Crecerelle is worth a market check with Jack Hogan taking off 5lb. Iolani can’t get much lower in the weights but may be a light of former days. Smart Lass is still 6lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago but Brian Hughes sticks with Zamond even though he got rid of the champion jockey last time at Catterick. CUBAN CIGAR has run here several times on the Flat and over hurdles but never won. However, Patrick Wadge takes off 7lb today and the five-year-old may prove the pick of his trainer’s quartet ahead of Our Marty. Simple Star still has scope but lacks a recent run and Rewired was well beaten off this mark at Kelso last time.
