    Verdict

It's taken a few runs for GORDONSVILLE to get the hang of jumping hurdles but this useful stayer on the Flat won a shade cosily over 2m here last month and the runner-up has franked the form since. The extra half-mile should suit and he can beat more exposed rivals today. Last week's Market Rasen winner Fairynuff could struggle under a penalty while Grand Art's last three runs have been in claimers and Chester Lad couldn't justify favouritism off this mark at Carlisle last month. Top weight Milano Supremo rarely goes down without a fight, however, and Bogside has his sights lowered after being pulled up at Wetherby. Bridlingtonbygones has shown ability and looks the pick of the remainder alongside the lightly-weighted Claude Carter.
